Federal Alternative Minimum Tax
If you were invested in a Dreyfus fund for the entire year and are subject to the AMT, you can calculate the portion of your dividends that must be reported for AMT purposes by multiplying your total dividends by the percentages listed below. You should enter your calculated amount on Form 6251, Line 11.
If you were not invested in the fund for the entire year, click on your fund to view monthly percentages.
While we can provide you with the percentage of dividends from Dreyfus funds that are subject to the AMT, calculating your overall AMT liability (if any) is a complex process. We urge you to consult your tax advisor to determine if the AMT applies to your financial situation and to ensure the proper calculation and reporting of this tax, should it apply.
