Hedge: Strategy used to offset investment risk.
High-Yield ("Junk") Bonds: Debt instruments issued by private corporations whose credit quality is below investment-grade. These bonds involve added default risk, but typically provide higher yields than investment-grade bonds.
Holding Company: Corporation that owns enough voting stocks of a subsidiary corporation for purposes of controlling its policies and management.
