Joint Tenants In Common: Two or more individuals who together own securities, each having a fractional financial interest of assets in the account. Also known as Tenants in Common.

Joint Tenants with Right of Survivorship (JTWROS): Two or more individuals who together own undivided, equal interests in property. Property interests pass to surviving joint tenants upon one's death. Interest can be partitioned by joint tenants, unlike tenants in common.

Junk Bond: See High-Yield Bonds.

Junk Bond Funds: Also known as high-yielding bond funds. Try to generate higher returns by investing primarily in below investment-grade bonds, and are subject to extra risk and require special disclosures and considerations before investing. Dreyfus does not offer any junk bond funds.
