The investment adviser for the fund is The Dreyfus Corporation (Dreyfus). Newton serves as the fund's sub-investment adviser. Newton, subject to Dreyfus' supervision and approval, provides investment advisory assistance and research and the day-to-day management of the fund's investments. Newton is an indirect subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. Paul Markham and Jon Bell are the fund's portfolio managers. Mr. Markham has managed the fund since its inception in December 2005 and also serves as an investment manager for global equities and is a member of the global equity model group. Mr. Bell has been a portfolio manager of the fund since March 2008 and also serves as an investment manager for global equities and is a member of the multi-asset model, global policy and portfolio analysis groups.
